LG GU285 is the latest entrant in the multimedia market in India. The metallic handset is a 3G enabled slider device. The phone coupled with good looks and host of entertainment features is mainly targeted towards the young population. All these features are available at a highly competitive price of Rs 6500.
LG GU285 looks attractive in its 96 x 45.7 x 14.9 mm measuring metallic body. The phone weights 105 grams. It sports a 5.6cm screen which is capable of displaying images of 176 x 220 pixels. The phone is available in Black, Silver, White & Red, White & Pink, Light Silver colors. The phone has a basic 1.3 MP camera. The images can be printed through Bluetooth. There is a secondary VGA camera that allows users to take portrait pictures
of themselves.
LG GU285’s Li-Ion 900 mAh battery provides a talk time of Up to 8 h 30 min (2G) / Up to 5 h 20 min (3G). Likewise the standby time is Up to 383 h (2G) / Up to 331 h (3G). The phone comes with an organizer and a voice memo. LG GU285 has an internal memory of 20 mb. This can be stretched up to 8GB by use of MicroSD card. Its phonebook can take up to 500 entries. "The new phones are an extension of our unique offerings in the Buzz series that promises to give our users benefits of mega multimedia for entertainment on the move." Mr. Sudhin Mathur, Business Group Head, LGEIL said.
LG GU285 has decent features for entertainment of its users. The phone has a music player with 6 built in equalizer that supports MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV formats. A country dependant Stereo FM radio is also provided to keep you hooked to music on the move. The phone is Java enabled and has WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. It comes with connectivity option in the form of Bluetooth with A2DP, GPRS and EDGE. EDGE enables its users to configure up to 5 email accounts. There is no WLAN or Infrared supported.
LG GU285 has a host of applications that keep its users addicted. RockeTalk feature can be used to connect instantly with friends over instant messengers. There are other fun features such as Ferrari GT, Diamond Twister, Demo Mini Game Planet, Sudoku, cricket and much more.
